“What is Truth”

Recently the release of the astonishing document of “A common word” by Islamic clerics and leaders to the Christians and the response from the Christian ministers and theologians were rather confounding or I should say disturbing.

The American Presidential campaign, again, several influential Christian leaders sent confusing messages  during the pre- elections as each were stating their preferences to those who are guided by there endorsements, Here on national media they endorse candidates whose values  blatantly oppose the word of God,

The contradiction is this; there was a righteous candidate, reflecting it throughout his political history, and endorsed by James Dobson, however this candidate was denied by major Christian leaders.

I ask myself the question, why? there so many contradictions and compromises in the Christian faith.

Rather than directing our life values and decisions by the Word, discussions are based on personality types and the benefiting of self.

As demonstrated by signatory endorsements of the common word by major recognised Christian leaders , the ideals of political correctness other than the truth of scripture, we cannot buy peace through trade offs, not matter how great the personal achievements of man or his intellectual capacity, they show themselves as fools when they oppose the truth of the word.

This has caused me to visit the warning of not becoming of those who did not receive “THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH” 2Thes 2 10-12

I question myself do I love the truth, do you love the truth, Pilot said to Jesus “what is Truth”, the fact remains JESUS IS THE TRUTH  and all that He said is the Truth, this being so, all that does not line up with “the truth is untruth, or let us use the more appropriate word “A LIE”

“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”

For what reason, the reason of not receive the love of the Truth

What did Jesus come proclaiming, what life did he exemplify and declare of those who follow Him and His teaching?

Vision of the Plumb Line

Amos7:7 Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand. 8 And the LORD said to me, “Amos, what do you see?”

   And I said, “A plumb line.”
Then the Lord said:      “Behold, I am setting a plumb line
      In the midst of My people Israel;
      I will not pass by them anymore”.      This plumb-line would discover where it was crooked. Thus God would bring the people of Israel to the trial, discovering their error their wickedness, and show wherein they erred; and he would likewise bring his judgments upon them according to equity, would set a plumb-line in the midst of them, to mark how far their wall must be pulled down

This is the measure of the Lord, he has determined which is successful and it will reveal which is of stubble

In Lev 8:17 the priest are commanded to take the animal carcass out side the camp it is a deliberate announcement “there is nothing good in the flesh, the hide “, we would say there are many uses, however, the Lord is declaring that there is nothing apart from Him which is good and He takes no pleasure in the flesh of man, or our self efforts.

Jesus declares very clearly this is success, he states “Blessed” in Matthew 5 the Sermon on the Mount, and this is wisdom, he who lives this life according to His measure

This is undoubtedly His plum line; what ever is being preached and stated as kingdom can it stand true to the plumb line of his word, not in a truth or mans interpretation, will it stand in the day of reckoning , are we wise builders or are we allowing ourselves to enjoy the passing pleasures of this life.

I see and hear many who declare, you can have a better life than what Christ declares His disciples life would look like, false messiahs are already in the earth, filling church’s, the message they preach appeals to the self life, the message of Christ is a selfless life, the call is to die to self, not promote it, and bolster it up.

“He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked” 1Jn 2:6

False messiahs are proclaiming another gospel, other than the cross Christ die on!

Return you prisoners of hope, even today, that I will restore double to you  Zec 9:12

Concerning the common word, signatories acknowledge the god of Islam being synonymous with Jehovah of Christianity.

 Scripture declares there is only ONE God.

The nature of ONE as compared to the other, unquestionable the differences, and this being so there cannot be coexistence or a comparison.

1Jn2:2-23 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father;   the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.
